Felled trees to lumber - stacking and drying

This is but one example of some of our recent on-site milling jobs. We start with your felled trees, and mill them into usable lumber. When we are done milling, if needed, we help stack and sticker the lumber for drying and storage.

Mendham / Chester Oak logs
- We started with about 6 millable logs...
- Client yielded far more usable lumber than he expected. He originally wanted enough for a dining room table, and some small projects around the house. Clearly he got more than he bargained for, and plans on selling the excess to pay for the milling!
Cranbury job - Beech Trees
- Started with 2 logs
- Customer wanted slabs to make tables, and dimensional lumber.
This was only 2 logs, and the customer wanted "live edge" slabs and dimensional quarter sawn lumber. Another happy customer.
Princeton - 1 VERY large Oak tree
- Started with one very large oak log 18+' long, over 50" in diameter.
- They wanted a large dining room table, and lumber. Cut slabs, and other lumber as shown here.
They wanted to make a very large dining table. We cut 4 book matched slabs which will be used for the table, and then cut a variety of sizes of lumber for projects around the house.
Pittstown - Black Walnut
- Started with 8-10 millable logs
- finished with a LOT of slabs, lumber
This customer was very specific with what he wanted. All of the logs were black walnut. They wanted a bed, a dining table, a gun stock as he was a hunter and wanted to make it from the trees on his property and several occasional / end tables. He got more than he had expected. Some beautiful crotch wood pieces of black walnut that were gorgeous.
Monroe NY - Oak and Maple
- We milled 8 logs in total.
- Client ended with stacks and stacks of finished lumber for several projects
Another very happy customer. He had no idea how much lumber he was going to yield, and to say the least, he was pleasantly surprised to get as much as he did. We helped stack all the lumber using our skid steer loader, which dramatically cut the time needed for stacking the lumber. We never could have done this job without the skid steer.

- 7 logs became 11 logs, as some were better suited to be cut as 2 logs for the highest yield of lumber
